Hello! My name is Evandro Giachetto, and I’m a Senior Oracle Database Administrator with extensive experience in database administration, software development, and project management. I hold a BSc in Computer Information Systems, an MBA in Project Management, and I’m certified as an Oracle Database Administration Professional, Oracle Database SQL Expert, and Certified ScrumMaster®.

Throughout my career, I’ve worked with various technologies and environments, including Oracle databases, Exadata, GoldenGate, and more. I’ve also had the opportunity to lead multidisciplinary teams and contribute to the development of innovative solutions.

This blog, Hey DBA, is a personal project born out of a professional challenge. The company I currently work for is undertaking a project to migrate its entire technology stack to the AWS cloud, specifically to Aurora PostgreSQL. As a seasoned Oracle DBA, this project represents a significant shift in my focus and requires me to dive deep into a new database engine.
